Nominations open for Scandinavia's biggest PR competition – PR Awards
"Purposeful PR", "Best Innovative Communication" and "Most Impactful Crisis Management" – these are some of the categories in Mynewsdesk PR Awards 2023. Now the nominations have opened, the jury is set, and the competition has officially begun.
The Mynewsdesk PR Awards has been running for over ten years, it’s a competition that brings organizations from Sweden, Norway and Denmark together to compete in several categories. The common denominator for all categories is PR. "The purpose of the competition is to highlight creative, meaningful PR efforts and the important role that PR plays for organizations today," says Louise Barnekow, CEO of Mynewsdesk.
– What is good PR? It's PR that has a purpose, and engages in big and small ways. And that's what we want to celebrate with this year's PR Awards. We want to shine the spotlight on the enormous power of deserved attention, at a time when we are inundated with communication on a daily basis. Back to basics, pure and simple.
Some of last year's winners included Löfbergs, Helsingborgs Stad and The Body Shop. Which organizations that will be this year's winners remains to see. Nominations are open until September 14, 2023, the finalists will be presented on September 21, and the winners will be announced on October 26. The winners are selected by a jury consisting of external experts in areas related to the categories, as well as previous winners. The jury is chaired by Åsa Blomberg, Marketing and Communications Manager at Myrorna and also includes Mynewsdesk's Head of PR, Adam Karseland.
– Mynewsdesk has over 4000 users, who create an incredible amount of great PR on a daily basis. It is very exciting to go through the entries together with the rest of the jury, and get a chance to highlight what we all at Mynewsdesk are passionate about: great PR. I'm particularly passionate about the "PR with a purpose" category, because that category is about the very essence of PR. After all, PR that is meaningful often becomes good PR, says Adam Karseland.
