Meet the PR Awards jury member Tale Olivia Henningsen: – PR appeals to me because it gives us the opportunity to reach so many people
Tale Olivia Henningsen came to PR and communication from a background in interior architecture and color design. This made her the perfect fit for Creative Leader at the Norwegian supply store for paint and color – Fargerike, where she has now worked with PR and communication for eight years.
Last year, with Tale in the lead, Fargerike received the award «Newsroom of the Year Norway» in the Nordic PR Awards, showing that you don’t need a long education within PR and communication to do it right – and good.
– My background is not directly related to PR, communications or marketing, but interior architecture and design can relate to telling the story of a theme. And in many ways that is exactly what you do with PR and communication, Tale says.
And the motivation from the 2022 jury in the Nordic PR Awards proves exactly that, as it states that Fargerike are creating appealing and interesting stories while being able to stay top-of-mind with frequent, well-produced and enticing content.
– Creating good and correct content is one of the things I find challenging, but also very interesting when it comes to PR and communication. As an example, we have learned that our PR and communication is a good fit for the blog format, Tale says.
– For me, and at Fargerike, trends is an important keyword here, and that is also one of my strengths in this industry. Getting it right with what our customers like to read is key. Stay ahead and not behind.
Tale’s major interest is interior design – creating good spaces to live in, and through her PR and communication efforts, she passes that on to the audience.
– Training and giving our customers tools they can use themselves is important, and through the right and good communication we can do that, Tale explains.
– This is also why PR and communication appeals to me. It gives us the opportunity and ability to reach so many people and target audiences through various channels.
When it comes to being a part of the jury in this year’s Nordic PR Awards as one of the previous winners, Tale is honored to be a part of the expert panel and is excited to take a closer look at the nominations coming in.
– I am especially looking forward to the category «Best Innovative Communication», as it portrays how we are pushed out of our comfort zone. I hope we get a lot of nominations coming in, and I really encourage everyone to nominate – whether it is nominating your own newsroom or campaign, or someone else's. It is important as the Nordic PR Awards makes us more aware of what we are putting out there, Tale says.
