Press release -
Mynewsdesk's #GiveABeep Wins Three Prizes At The Drum Awards
Mynewsdesk and Hövding’s 2016 campaign “Give A Beep” were three time winners at The Drum - Marketing Can Change the World Awards, picking-up the prizes for Innovation of The Year, Best Use of Technology and the Chairman’s Award.
A leading digital PR platform provider, Mynewsdesk challenged brands to reach 100 million people through effective storytelling. Hövding was the chosen company for the campaign.
Together with Edelman Deportivo, Mynewsdesk and Hövding received four nominations and three first place prizes for the 2016 campaign “Give a Beep” at The Drum's - Marketing Can Change The World Awards.
Judges of the categories said that Mynewsdesk’s campaign (for which they reinvented the classic bicycle bell to automatically email the Mayor of London whenever cyclists saw near or actual accidents on London’s roads) “altered perceptions” and “changed lives”.
On the strategic planning and outcomes of the campaign, Sofia Juhlin, Head of Global Marketing Communications & Brand at Mynewsdesk said:
“Even in this data driven and automated world - the mixture of art and science is still key. Creativity will and should still be at the centre of both Mynewsdesk's and our clients' communications efforts”
Last night's three awards follow the success at Advertising week, New York, where Mynewsdesk won gold for Creativity That Contributes To A Better World and several nominations at upcoming ceremonies across Sweden.
Mynewsdesk also won a SPINN award for their 2015 campaign, Mynewsdesk Now.
