Mynewsdesk Expands Operations to Finland
This year Mynewsdesk’s ambitious expansion plans will come to fruition. And it’s already off to a flying start. Just a few weeks ago, Mynewsdesk proudly opened its Finnish office in the center of Helsinki.
The Finnish market was the next logical step after last year’s expansion into Norway and Denmark. Jonathan Bean, COO, thinks that conditions in Finland are perfect for Mynewsdesk.
- Finland has a reputation for being a tech-savvy and early-adopting market, he says. Last July, they became the first country in the world to make access to broadband a legal right for every citizen. We feel that this attitude towards the web will open certain doors for us.
Mynewsdesk will open more offices outside of the Nordic region later in the year, but Finland has been in the pipeline for some time. While the market is competitive, Mynewsdesk reckons that prospective clients and web-enthusiastic journalists will see the great potential in the online news exchange service that Mynewsdesk provides.
Leading the Finnish team will be new Country Manager Markku Törhönen. He joins Mynewsdesk from web analytics experts Snoobi, where he successfully held various new business and account management positions within their sales organization.
