Mynewsdesk Just Got Some Cool New Features
Earlier this year, we promised you a number of updates to our product after rolling out a brand new design. Well, the first one is out the gates...
Managing relationships with your key contacts and influencers is an essential part of being a PR and communications pro. But we know what a pain it can be to keep track of them, especially if you need to edit their contact information or log interactions with them regularly, in various spreadsheets.
So, we’ve made a few changes to the contact and distribution lists features, giving you even more control than ever before...
Manage individual contacts
Firstly, you can now fully edit the profiles of your contacts. You can change names, email addresses, locations, or phone numbers. You can also add their social media profiles or a short description.
And on top of that, you can add time-stamped notes for each profile. These notes can log events or actions related to individual contacts. If your Mynewsdesk account is managed by several people, these notes will also show who in your team created them, giving you an overview of the history of your relationship with the contact.
Import contact lists directly
If you’re working with spreadsheets like Excel or Google Sheets at the moment, don’t worry. We’ve improved the way you import contact lists into your Mynewsdesk account.
You can easily upload these spreadsheets, regardless of file type, directly to Mynewsdesk. Map the contact information in your spreadsheets to the right information fields in Mynewsdesk, add the uploaded contacts to existing or new distribution lists, and you’re ready.
Easily use your own “From:” email address
For Premium customers, we also implemented a much simpler way to use your own “From:” email address for emails sent through Mynewsdesk. If you don’t want to use the standard hello@mynewsdesk.com address, simply fill in the email address of your choice in Email Settings, and click submit. You’re done. No IT involvement, no waiting. All emails you send through Mynewsdesk will look like they come from your own email address.
Stay tuned for even more product developments in the coming weeks!
By the way, see any bugs?
We’d love for all updates to happen flawlessly, but to err is human!
