Who has opened your emails?
When we launched the new Analyse tool earlier this year, we received praise for the improved design and insightful analytics. However, the one thing our customers told us to improve was an effective way to show exactly who opened the emails you send through Mynewsdesk.
For every story you email to your distribution lists - either automatically through “Publish” or manually through “Network” - Pro and Plus customers can now see exactly who opened the email and if they clicked on any links.
This means that you can now target specific influencers for follow-up communication or campaigns, knowing that they’ve actually read and interacted with your emails.
To view these stats, choose one of your releases under Detailed Statistics. Then click on the link in the email statistics overview.
Tag Management Centre
Since all content published in a newsroom - from news releases to images to videos - can be tagged with specific keywords, we wanted to give customers more control over the tags they use.
Here’s how:
Take control of all tags. You can combine, rename, or delete tags to organize stories. Or you can remove tags from specific stories only. This is especially useful if you have tags that are no longer relevant today or tags that vary slightly from each other, but really should be under one heading.
Highlighted tag's can be used to build digital press packs for your audiences.
Choose your own images for your Highlighted Tags. You can now choose your own image for the thumbnails of each tag
Consent Policy
Some of our customers, such as those who work in the food and beverage industry have to promote age restricted products like alcoholic beverages, have requested that a consent policy appears before users can access their newsroom.
This is an example of what it can look like although it is fully customisable.
Two more top tips...
- We've noticed that a few customers are still using the old version of the hosted newsroom. We've made it possible for everyone to start using the new and much improved design just by clicking a single button.
All you need to do is go to your Hosted Newsroom settings and click "Upgrade your hosted newsroom."
- Did you know you can add a link to a subscription page to encourage followers? All you need to do is copy the highlighted part of the code to create a link. However, if you want to embed the whole button just add the full code.
Please get in touch with us if you have any feedback on the newsroom or suggestions on how we can improve it.
