Guru Careers posted a tongue in cheek job advertisement for an ‘International Cricketer (Australian)’, following the Aussies' dismal showing at Trent Bridge last week.
Incidentally, since running the ad, Michael Clarke has stepped down as the Baggy Greens' captain, so there's a new position for Guru Careers to advertise!
#Ashes2015 Crimes
As Australian wickets tumbled on the first morning of the Trent Bridge test, the Twitter jibes soon followed with Nottinghamshire Police and Crimestoppers UK making the most of the trending hashtag #Ashes2015.
With the Oval test in South London to come, we wonder if the Metropolitan Police will be ready for some quick witted, fun-poking at our Australian friends!
Premier Innings
Before the 4th Test, Premier Inn announced that they were renaming their Trent Bridge branch to ‘Premier Innings’. The hotel chain also said that if guests were able to prove that they shared the same name as England captain, Alastair Cook, that they’d qualify for a free nights stay.
And it seems the Australian batsman were just as accommodating when it came to giving their wickets away….
